The Real Estate Market is very strong right now and it is the darling of all economic pieces of our economy. It is the best time to buy homes where the market is the strongest when it comes to any type of financing.
January 2020 mortgage rates were about 3.7% and seem a steady dip in those rates all the way down until about the end of the year of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 they reached the bottom line. this is based on Freddy Mac 30-Year Fixed Rate
As we start to see things move along in the process, the interest rates are starting to get a little higher.
In March, the 10-year bond drops .54%. the Dow Jones drop 13% all the investors started to get worried about where the economy is going and what was gonna happen with the American Economy with the whole Pandemic. FED tried to react to keep the economy afloat and it did two price reductions in the FED funds rate to 0% and .25% which is absolutely unheard of and the rates drop so low and now we are still seeing benefits on that as the rates continue to stay low.
FED starts to buy a lot of mortgage securities and added about 180B dollars of assets and starts slowing that down and because of that, the interest rates are creeping higher, even though it goes 4% it will still be historically low compare to 6 – 8%.
